 Horns are just so freaking versatile, like should any craft box be without them?

I keep mine between the glitter and the finger paints.  It goes Glitter, Horns, Finger Paint, Feathers, Buttons … etc ….

You can put them on your car, on your fence posts, in the barn, the wall of your office  . . . or wear them on your head.  You can’t do that with glitter.  It would look ridiculous to have glitter on the barn, not to mention how nervous it makes the cows and then they don’t let down their milk … just not going to happen.

I have to ask you seriously … is there another single blog here in SL that is a source of such a varied and important list of topics?  I mean think of all the ways I bless your life with the little tidbits of “must have” info I share.  Now you know why the cows never produced as much milk when your grand dad wore that bra with sequins under his overalls.  Mystery solved.

I paired my horns with LadyCatherine Fairey’s gown from Butterfly Effectz.  Wear it to the barn and the cows will be totally into anything.  Cows are big on horns.  You know what they say about big horns in the cow world.   What with their failing eyesight … wear the horn headpiece and the world becomes your dairy store oyster only not in the sea of course.  Trust me.  I know these things.

Ramses Meredith of Egoisme created this lovely imitation of a pepperminty candy cane for a dress for the season .. but I can tell you that licking it does not give you minty fresh breath.

Nando Korobase of Angel Dessous provides snowflakes and fur and sparkle and long gloves to put the magic into the night and sequins and ruffles from Lilly Juno of Immerse dance their way across your dreams.

I like to take a whole wardrobe when I go out so I can change costumes and play any role that happens to present itself.  I just think it makes the whole evening more fun and you can share your costumes!!

That and  … I tend to spill on myself . . . a lot …

I so want one in real life.  I want to calmly walk into the garden and make all the neighbours jealous.  I know they would be jealous because that is how it all goes down in my head and whatever my head wants, it just goes with.  I mean like the lack of participation from the outside world is irrelevant.  Facts are irrelevant  . . .

Ladies in white … I love starting with blank canvas and I always think white kinda disarms people and they let their guard down a bit.  I mean you can’t just misbehave in a vacuum .. where is the fun in that???

Sira Savira or 1Hundred, Pixivore Allen of AlaFolie and Shinichi Mathy of Shiki have all offered virginal deflectors for the holiday season.  Aya Mactavish gifted us with a cool butterfly typer that puts butterflies dancing all around you whenever you type.  I am thinking this would be so cool in real life.  Imagine having to deliver bad news to someone and as you speak there are butterflies everywhere to help soften the blow.  I mean Snow White was always pretty happy and she had butterflies around her all the time.  I think that is a given, have butterflies and everything seems better … although if you were in love with a caterpillar and then came to see them one day and they were gone with all their butterfly friends and left you without any word that would kinda suck.  THAT person would not probably appreciate a butterfly typer … but the rest will.

Oh . . . and about me disarming people … I do give their arms back after all the misbehaving fun is over.

Schmelf told me there was a way that I could redeem myself and erase all the black marks against me for this year.  I asked how many could there be?  He pointed to a van parked down by the river that was filled to overflowing with black binders … all me … all bad …  I pretty much was done for this Christmas and every Christmas upcoming unless. . .

. . .I accepted him as my personal goodness trainer.

He performed a secret ceremony which I can’t tell you about but it involved gingerbread, eggnog, 3 reindeer, an extra big stocking and some equipment in Santa’s basement that was damn right scary.

This was my first “task/exercise” … tending the flocks by night.

Thank heavens that Dvorin Radek of HeretiCORE made this really cool shepherd’s staff thingy that has bells that sway and jingle when you walk.  A definite upgrade from the old standard Shepherd’s crook.  I also found some nifty star earrings from Plurabelle Laszlo of Bliensen + MaiTai and figured the Schmelf could find some teeny batteries and we could power those suckers up in case there was no star in the east or stars or lights or I just got scared and needed my mommy.

There are wolves out there you know.  They could get confused and forget they are supposed to be in the woods hunting Red Riding Hood.  And what if they were colour blind?  That is why I was ever so grateful for Maddox DuPont’s contribution from KMADD – with all that bling on the shirt, the sparkly eye stuff, the hair and muffs. . . . not to mention some kick ass, really pointed cowboy boots from Didi Morrisey of Pelletteria Morrisey.  No way could the wolf think I was LRRH.  I was more like “Tall Psychedelically Angelic Cowboy Pants.”

It is cold out there. Thank Heavens I had a scarf and ear muffs from Zzoie Zee of Zanze.  They come with a cool hud to change the textures. I also had some leggings from Monica Outlander of MiaMai.  Schmelf got a little testy waiting for me to decide which of the fabulous choices I was going to wear.  I mean I know they were just sheep and all but still, I wanted them to know I was fashionable.  I wanted them to like me.  I wanted them to think I was pretty.  Isn’t that what we all want?  Especially at Christmas time????  ISN’T THAT what life is all about PEOPLE?????

The Schmelf was not particularly impressed with my tending abilities.  Something about scattering the sheep everywhere and that it would take years to find them all.  How stupid is that not one of them was named “Fluffy” and that screaming that over and over just seemed to scare the shit out of them.

I took the Schmelf out into the wood to intro him to his cousin “stumpy” but he failed to see the humour in it.  And before you all go getting on me for making fun of the fact he is so small, you should hear what he says to me about being a giant.  And he never lets up on how come I don’t have bigger breasts and my ass is too flat and why don’t I show more cleavage.  Evidently his idea of a “good girl” and Santa’s are not exactly the same thing.

I am not sure which of the reindeer this one was.  Plantzer or Schmonner or Piston or something …I am not great with names.  Who can tell any of them apart?   I just called him “Fluffy” all day.

Lutricia Roux of the Deluxe Body Factory has created an entire avatar with eyes and everything you will need, along with the outfit and a hud that links to explain all about the Swedish Christmas tradition of Lucia.  I thought that was a great share for the holiday season.

Sasaya Kayo of HPMD provided the stump and I much prefer its personality to the Schmelf.  It is way more fun and also can sing a whole lot better.

Ciccia Bergamasco of Innuendo provided the other dress in this post that includes the jewels worn.

I sort of thought we have the whole Snow White, Rose Red thing going on and so you know dwarves/elves … we would be in the same ball park.  Schmelf was really offended and asked me if he even looked like he “hi-hoed” it into work or hung out with someone called “Sneezy” or “Dopey.”

You know those moments when you really have a smart ass answer and then you think maybe you should just keep your mouth shut?  I had one of those moments, thought better of it, and told him yes, I could see it.  He looked exactly like that kind of elf.

He asked me if I wanted an apple for dessert, said some old lady had given it to him ….

I thought, with a disguise, I would be able to get out of the house while the Schmelf was distracted.  He knew it was me right away.  He said I have a distinct perfume of “trouble” about me.  I don’t blame the mask from NyuNyu Kimono of NYU.  It is a great mask.  Just the elf is greater.

No-one tricks the elf.

 

I put on the lovely skin from Marie Whitfield of Blush, which comes in four skin tones with again the options of boobilage or not. I just find that so amusing. Like who turns down an extra helping of boobilage – it’s not like turnips of brussel sprouts – boobs are ice cream for crying out loud. Bodza Mubble created this darling little red and gold party dress for the holiday season. I love her new creative effort, Living Imagination. She has a bit of a different eye which is really refreshing on the design scene.

I added the Holly and Ruby jewellery set by Contessa Lacombe of Elemental. Even the Schmelf liked this look and he is not good with the compliments. I would think someone in charge of logging the naughty and nice efforts would have been required to at least attend some motivational classes so he could be encouraging. He’s not.

We did not have a good day.

As evidenced by him being stuffed into the bookcase provided by Sway Dench of Sways. You can have them empty or decorated and together or separate. I recommend decorated and together if you are planning on squishing an annoying elf into the cubby hole. Good thing Reven Rosca of Prime provides extras with her furniture and there was a cup of tea for me to calm my nerves. Well there was actually more than just tea in mine as my nerves really needed calming.

Wicca Merlin of Wicca’s Wardrobe provides a collection of poses for when you need to look awesome as you pose in your special Christmas outfits.

 

Cinders Vale of Nexus Arts provides the art work with a sense of humour – always a good gift for the smart ass in your family, or yourself if you are the king in that arena. The Schmelf insists that wherever he is, he is king.  Even without a crown.  He wants me to learn how to bow properly.  My head should be lower than his.
