Jiovi Michigan of Mash created the perfect dress for Christmas in Australia and who does not love a luxurious bed all done up with linens?  Ramzi Xofan from eXplicite Designs does a smashing green and brown ensemble.

You just kinda want to lie around a pretend that you have handmaidens tp brush your hair and hunky guys in loin cloths with palm leaves to fan you and feed you grapes.

I think imaginary games are important to a healthy life.  You need to do something to fill in those long pauses between birth and death … the tricky part is getting your family to play along ….

Not sure why hubby is such a baby about putting on a loin cloth … I mean come on … walking around in his underwear is not the same thing at all ….although the problem might be the kind of underwear he has.  It is hard to get romantic when someone is wearing jocks with dancing muffins and airplanes flying with the word “stud” written on the banners they are pulling.

Such a feeling of relief to have finally washed all the elf patrol outta my hair.  I feel lighter and freer and frankly one should always dress to suit one’s mood.

Clearly Theo Tremont of Topazia understood there would be a need for this catharsis with this outfit.  Every outfit needs a fascinator like this one from RKThings Crystal of Vintage .. and more so if you are going to the races in Australia.  These women are like absolutely mesmerized by fascinators .. forget the pipe music … if you ever need to lead a bunch of Australian woman away or to something and they are not co-operating … dangle a fascinator … you will have them.

Just don’t wear this outfit to the races in Australia, I imagine those horses are hungry after running all that way and they are not allowed to eat the fascinators … those things are holy.

Cilia Shepherd of Cilian’gel goes gold and glitter with a one shouldered gown pinned in diamonds while Spooky Mistwallow of Kastle Rock Couture wraps a soft netted full skirt with a candy cane green top.

The red suspenders are from Elves Warehouse and look great with the striped red shirt.  They also work well for barbershops but only if you can twirl well.

I think Santa has a sadistic streak.  I was just celebrating dressing to mourn the loss of my beloved SocElfky who had some kind of drowning accident in a  snow globe of all the darned things, and I figured with only a couple of days until Christmas, everyone would be busy and I would have some free time to “deck the halls.”

Enter the new improved heftier elf wrestler.  My official “date” for the festivities.

I think it is important to take a date to funerals.

Ellie Monk of Shoenique Designs designed this awesome specimen of a dress and Barnesworth Anubis did the fireplace which I crawled up on to try and get away from Melf – the man elf that is creepier than all the other attendants assigned to me thus far.

Short men always look so smug because let’s face it … they really have no choice but to be looking at your breasts when they talk to you … I mean unless you are willing to carry a stool around for them, which I am not.

I found this guy’s pic on one of those dating sites where he describes himself as a happy easy kind of guy, good at making lists and checking it twice, and liking long walks in the snow.   I moved the profile to ebay.

I am selling him for the first person who offers a dollar.

Yes Elves do not hold their value much at this time of the year.  I think there are just too many of them flooding the market …everyone is getting in on the gig.   If he doesn’t sell by midnight I am going to just plant him in the front yard next to the garden gnomes.

When I was a kid I thought it would be so cool to live in a snow globe.  They were always so pretty and peaceful.  I got to try it with AnneMarit Jarvinen’s effort for POE from her fab store KaTink.

Of course part of my feeling so awesome was thanks to Mila Tathem of Solidea Folies and her headpiece and this gorgeous sexy gown from Katherine Asteria of Asteria Creations.

But you know what?  THAT was a dream as a little girl.  Now as an adult… I would prefer that OTHER people go and live in a Globe.

Did you know that no-one can hear you scream in there?  And it doesn’t even matter if a tree falls or if anyone is in there in the forest with you …

Looking up now how to stuff Sock Monkey Elves into Globes.  Come on Google.

I could be wrong but I have a feeling that the SocElfMonkey has abandoned his responsibilities and is now just living the good life .. at my expense.  I mean, unless the naughty and nice patrol involves a whole lot of being naughty yourself.  Now he has a girlfriend .. some other sock he picked up out of my dirty laundry and then got into my make-up.

He suggested a threesome.  Does that sound like any Christmas story you have heard about anywhere???

I passed out on the couch from Amanda Dench of Dench Designs.  She gave me Christmas contained in a living room which is a complete set with furniture and poses that give you nifty things like wine, Christmas tree and decorations, fireplace and snow falling outside the window.  You don’t even have to shovel it which is a good thing.  Right now I am up to my neck in shovelling monkey BS.

My dress from Bouquet Babii of Vero Modero was completely wasted on the Sock Elf fake monkey dude and his date.  They kept promising me they had a blind date for me but a sock without button eyes is not my idea of a good time.

All I ended up doing all night was chaperoning. I wasn’t sure how to get rid of them they just stayed forever and ever no matter how many subtle hints I gave … finally I just threw them both in the washing machine, lit some candles, told them to think of it like a hot tub/white water rapids/tornado type of experience and went to bed.  I know that by the time I throw everything into the dryer and then go to sort my laundry at least one of them will be missing.

Got to love this beautiful gown from Allie Munro of Grumble.  I feel like I should be singing on stage somewhere when I wear it.

Normally I don’t require a stage.  I just perform everywhere … like when the farmer says, “Wanna see my cows?” and you go out to the field … I just do my best Julie Andrews and run across the hills.
And when the farmer and his hired men run after me swearing because I have scattered all the milk cows and now they won’t be any good for the evening milking … I just pretend their unruly children and I tie them into the trees and make them “start at the very beginning.”

It’s all kinda magical really … I mean it is tough getting those farmers into lederhosen but once those puppies are on … ya .. completely magical!

I have never really understood the fascination with trains.  They run on a track, you stand there and push a button and they go around and around over and over again.  YAWWWWWN.  It seems to be a bonding thing with dads and sons.  Like, “hey I never had a train set growing up, I got you one now son.”
 
“I hate trains dad, I wanted a barbie doll.”
 
“Martha … I am going out for a beer …..”
 
This is a train set from Miele Abdallah of LUXus.  It is pretty cool.  It goes round and round on a track and makes choo choo sounds and the whistle blows and I actually put my beer down and sat and watched it.  I am waiting for my dad to come over now.  As soon as he finishes playing Barbies with my brother, he said he will be right over.
 
I like the little nativity set with the windmill from Performa Susanowa of SL Imports.  It reminds me of a little gold set I had from Avon where you lit a candle and the heat made the windmill go around. I think my grandma threw it out after my brother tried to stop the windmill with his tongue and got third degree burns. That guy … he was always so much fun after a couple of swigs of vanilla which was the only alcohol on the shelf he could reach.

 

The awesome PEACE table is very well done and is a gift from John2010 Dexler of JoHaDeZ.  I have to keep it away from my brother because the cord is laying there unplugged and he still has not learned his lesson.  Since he has been able to reach the top shelf where ALL the good liquor is kept he still puts things in his mouth that shouldn’t be there.

 

The dress is from Aidoru and Jaraloy Swords.  It is a shimmery colour changing masterpiece just perfect for standing around and shimmerarkling under the mistletoe where, if you are lucky, someone will slip a little tongue … I mean someone NOT your brother.  When he walks into the room everyone hides the mistletoe  . . . AND the women.

SocElfky thought he looked pretty sylin’ wandering around in his sock monkey leisure suit … I have to break it to him that he kinda looked like one of those pinkish geckos.  like baby mice only more anaemic.  He got out his big black pen … and made big dramatic lines in his notebook.  Monkeys can be very sensitive you know….I love the centre piece supplied by Jaylin Whitewood of Aphrodite.  I am going to cut it out and put it on my table and tell people I would have made one for Christmas dinner but I was too busy doing my POE posts.  I am pretty sure they will understand and think it was really nice of me to be willing to tackle a dangerous power tool like scissors … just to make the day more festive.The Peace sign brought a tear to my eye .. I was livin’ the old life almost the whole day … smokin’ pot, taking my bra off, hating on the man ….it was a good day.  Thanks to Zhoie Zimermann of PicMe Poses for that little “trip.”

I am so in love with these runners I am going to wear them with all my evening gowns over the holidays.  Sejhur of Citrus Designs did the runners and the doubled shirt.  Adriannesux McMinnar of Orquidea must have been knitting all year.  She did the sweaters and there are a bunch of them in all kinds of colours . . . so versatile for this time of the year.  I am just glad to finally have a sweater without a moose or a deer in the pattern.

The camisole type t-shirt is really cool … it is animated so the butterflies move around the garment and so you might be able to pick up some extra work for anyone needing a visual in their class on getting “butterflies” in your stomach and how to handle them.  I put that on my Linked-in Profile right away and I already have 3 appointments for work.  Some gifts just keep on giving even after you spill ketchup on them.

I know Ayrton Radikal or B & W Designs meant the leather jacket shirt and tie for a dude but I wanted to open the gift anyway because I do that at Christmas all the time.   I open everyone’s gifts, because I hate for people to get paper cuts and so it is a humanitarian effort on my part.  You never know when someone might have a gift that you want.  Some of my best gifts have been those I opened that were for other people.

It isn’t stealing.  The same rules apply to gifts that do to the last cookie on the plate.  If you lick it … it is yours.   I am amazed at how many people put empty boxes under trees though .. . like in the malls and things … those people should really thank me for opening them.  Can you imagine how hurt people must be to open a gift and get nothing????

They handle having their gifts licked and taken much much better.

Vibing on the nightstand from Yelena Istmal and this sexy number from James of Mohna Lisa Couture.  I like the outfit for the very reason that the top does not allow for a sturdy bra and neither can the top itself be used to conceal anyone’s sunglasses, saved chocolate raisins, water bottle, OR their medication.

Life is so full of disappointments.

You finally get to have a purse and you hunt for important things to carry in them… private things that say to yourself mostly … I am now almost a woman.  You keep your favourite make-up like this mask from Julie Hasting of White Widow (just one of several choices).  And then you realize that everyone is always asking you to carry something for them and you wonder why you never noticed that your mom’s one arm is longer than the other and her whole body kind of tips in that same direction.

So you get a smaller purse and sadly inform the free loaders that there isn’t any room.  Of course there is no room for any of those important things you used to carry and so you have to admit that you probably are no longer a woman either.

It is the same with a bra.  You want one.  You covet them.  You steal your grandfather’s and try it on.

You train.

You fake sudden breast growth and almost get away with it until one of the socks falls out and you are suddenly a cyboobed teenage girl about to be memorialized on every bathroom wall from here to Mexico.

And then you get one and you never realized you cared so much about breathing.  You curse yourself for not appreciating those carefree days when both you and your brother ran topless through the fields.  And you learn that while lace and satin are pretty those things planted on your chest have needs .. like sturdy, reinforced containment needs and so you surrender.  And then you find yourself tucking extra little things in there … first a hanky, then a roll of money, then a lipstick or two … because there is no room in your tiny purse.  It is holding your one spare tampon in a lipstick look alike holder because evidently the shame of admitting we have periods is more than we can yet bare.  We just hope people ignore the fact we have 8 children and that they never catch on but that they admire our beautiful lipstick case.

So ya, I like this outfit … there is no room for anything .. not even my breasts … which I am really hopeful might get me a date for New Years because if I have to hang out with a drunk Monkey Come Elfy to ring in the new year … I may start a bonfire with my sturdy bras and accidently throw in some socks … if you know what I mean ….
