POE6 ~ Dashing through the Hunt

Only 7 or so days remain in the POE6 Hunt. Slurls for the items follow the photos. But before we get to that, I just want to say it’s been a genuine honor and delight to be included as an official POE weblogger and to share even this very small sampling of the beautiful hunt finds. Thank you to all the wonderful designers for creating such gorgeous pieces for this event. And thank you, Sequoia, for creating the Peace on Earth Hunt 6 years ago now. You run it so beautifully year over year — making not only a hunt, but SL’s largest grid-wide hunt yet, seem effortless every time when the reality is it simply must require a great deal of work and commitment. POE is always an elegant, wonderful event, Sequoia…just like you. Thank you. And see you and everyone in this soon to be Happy New Year!

POE6 ~ on the bright side

I will probably photograph this dress again relatively soon. Here’s why. It’s really cute. I mean really. And I struggled with the composition — as I often do — particularly because of the colorfulness in the background. But I love this location. It’s the Oubliette sim. If you haven’t been there you should visit and if you have already, you should visit again and often. It’s such a gorgeous sim.

Even though my photo skills don’t do this dress justice, trust me that this little LivGlam dress — another POE6 hunt find — reflects the same level of gorgeousness found in the Oubliette sim. And the bonus is that this dress comes complete with a HUD to change the skirt and sleeve cuffs into three different colorways. I show it with two other POE6 items: a lovely necklace from Kunglers and the lovely and ever-present stockings from Miamai (I find I live in them these days).

If you’re doing the POE6 hunt, you already know it holds many wonderful creations. If you’re not on the hunt, you should be. Even though it’s a busy time of year, you’ll want in on these beautiful creations. And who could blame you. Not me. In fact…I called for the taxis:

It’s absurdly cold in the atomic world…and technically, winter has yet to arrive. Technically. After I arrived home from work yesterday (with the external temperature reading at a whopping “4″ degrees), I threw on a gazillion layers and posted this set of POE6 finds. Something about the atomic world temperatures causes me to want to dress inkind while inworld. This great mesh POE6 coat and scarf from Blue Couture and NerdMonkey, respectively, fit the bill.

Add in this wonderful skin from BLUSH — another POE6 item — and you’ll be positively toasty. And definitely radiantly styled. Dash through that snow, grab the slurl, and get yours!

For those of us who still love flexis, Snowpaws’s POE gift “Epais” fits the bill. The dress is lovely, lady-like, upscale. Pairing it with another POE find — these edgy “IT Girl” POE gift from BSD — positively makes me smile. Every year, the POE hunt contains wonderful gifts that surprise and delight. This year is no exception. If you haven’t yet started the hunt, you really should. There’s *alot* of goodness in it. Hit those slurls at the end of this post and get yours!

POE6 – Chop Zuey Couture Jewellery, [ROCKBERRY]

It’s been a crazy week. I have many more POE6 Hunt items to show, but I’ve fallen behind. Even so, with the dashing hither and yon and opening packages and trying things on, I have yet to remove this gorgeous jewelry set, “Lazy Mist”, a POE6 offering from Chop Zuey.

The set comes complete with earrings, necklace, and bracelet. I *loveeeeeeeeeeee* the colorway of the gems and the mounded dollops of their shapes. So fresh and hopeful, dare I even say, summer-like (!!), it just makes me smile. Dash over to Chop Zuey, find the globe and get your hands on beautiful “Lazy Mist”. The “Peace Bird” dress from Sonatta Morales — specially crafted for the POE6 hunt — packs a whallop. It’s without question the best mesh item my shape has encountered. I didn’t need to resize any of my curves to fit into the small. ( Typically even with an alpha I have to move sliders around to make the item fit my shape.) On top of all of this, Peace Bird is such an elegant design it positively channels Audrey Hepburn or Gwyneth Paltrow. Take a gander:

There’s a delicate, extremely subtle brocade design in the black fabric that adds a hint of dimension and mystery. The edging on the feather attachments carries a beautiful combination of soft blues, pinks, and white; the colors reveal themselves as you zoom in a bit closer to view. Even from a distance, the edging is an elegant touch to finish off the look. I pair this lovely dress with stockings from Miamai that are also a POE6 item (6 stockings PLUS huds for each to fit SLink mesh feet!), along with a gorgeous Chop Zuey POE6 jewelry set that I’ll feature in my next post. The magic of the Holiday Season is upon us and with it comes the magic of the 6th annual Peace on Earth Hunt. POE6 is a grid-wide hunt that begins December 1st (tomorrow!) and runs through January 6, 2014. Long-time friend and POE founder Sequoia Nightfire inspires more than 200 designers to contribute beautiful creations for POE6, which also happens to be the largest hunt event in SL. As alway, the items are so lovely you won’t want to miss out.

Here’s the first of many free items that I’ll feature over the next few weeks. This one is a partial mesh dress from Topazia. I pair it with a Rockberry skin, also a POE hunt item. So get ready and get your fingers on those slurls (below)…POE is set to begin in just a couple of short hours from now! Wheeeeeeeeeeeee!!
