Ok I am going to have to digress momentarily from your regular show of Christmas (hunt) tips and hints and share something in the realm of “OMG, I cannot believe he just said that!” Think of it kind of like when the news interrupts your favourite show to tell you something a politician just did only don’t swear at the computer because it is still ME … you still get ME … it is just I am another favourite show interrupting this favourite show.
I was doing this picture and my hubby stops by the computer, coffee in hand, resting the other one on the back of my chair, watching me and he says that Bliss is looking a little pale, she should probably get a bit more sun. So I asked him what he wanted me to do … put a sun lamp on the computer?
He then leaned closer to the computer screen and said, “Oh I see the problem,” and pointed at her white shoes and said, “Hasn’t it already been Labour Day in the States?”
And he “tsked” me.
What man doesn’t know that he NEVER quotes fashion rules back to his wife … EVER?
So I parroted him and said, “Ya well … you do understand that SL is not REAL right?”

And he looked me straight in the eye and said, “Yes but good fashion rules should be honoured even in make believe. It’s part of the code.”
He’s not allowed to have snappy comebacks. I don’t know who told him that role reversal was allowed but that person should be shot.

So have been going POE Hunt crazy,really it has been the only thing i spent my time on in SL the last couple of days,hehe i simply love everything that generous and creative designers put in this hunt. This amazing Skin from Amacci called Oleana Peace,comes in 2 colors. When i got back from an hour of hunting,and unpacked the gift from Snowpaw a stunning snow white Ballet outfit. I paired it with this gorgeous necklace and earring set from Ear Candy also a POE gift, i love it.

For every beauty there is an eye somewhere to see it. For every truth there is an ear somewhere to hear it. For every love there is a heart somewhere to receive it.

POE5 – The FAQTORY, Fatal Ecletic Fashion, Dot-BE, LD, the Strawberry Box, Inga Wind Clothing, DCD, the Muse Poses

The POE hunt offers some incredible furniture  for decorating your home,  but here I will show you what you can do with your land.

LD Wood Gazebo with cloth canopy, snow roof and ground, reindeer, all kinds of animations and fun things inside.

Tranquility Island by the Strawberry Box, the Island is a large piece of snow and an iceskating rink.  The island is also decorated with trees, a snowman and a park bench.

I mixed my look with some items from the hunt, from Fatal Ecletic Fashion Horizon Jeans,  My cardigan is from Dot-B and my shoes from IW, as part of  the Theo outfit.

POE5 – Loovus Dzevavor

The fifth Peace on Earth Hunt is nearly over now, with 200 (yes 200!) stores offering free gifts to spread a bit of seasonal goodwill across the grid. That’s a lot of goodwill!

This pretty winter-white dress is the gift you can find at Loovus Dzevavor – I love the subtle snowflake pattern and the sweet peter pan collar – this would be perfect for an evening at home with your loved ones this Christmas, or wrap up with some boots, a scarf and a woolly hat for an after dinner stroll in the snow!

edited to add: I just realised this is my 200th blog post! Wow, and it seems like only a few months ago I started blogging my SL fashion finds! So perhaps it’s a good thing that this milestone post is about something of a Second Life institution. Thank you for your support, it still thrills me no end when I see that people from all over the world look at these pages, and I’m going to keep on keeping on, and hopefully keep getting better too!

Hello again… a last POE5 Hunt post with a few little goodies from among the many excellent gifts, this time with a little bit more whimsical tone. Again, all SLURLs can be found at the official hunt hint list. Remember, the hunt finishes the 6th so there’s not much time left if you haven’t done it yet.

I like the character that came together for this post. S/he’s a bit of Dickens meets Narnia. It’s hard at times to spot the difference between a sculpt and mesh but mesh does seem to enable better sculpting. I know nothing about mesh… except everything about the shape issue ;P… but seeing the more complex sculpting and perfect texture baking I understand and agree with the ‘hype’. I think that only mesh could succeed in making a grey knitted scarf an object of beauty.The as excellent sim is Crimarizon, Crimarizon 2 to be finicky with the details. A wonderful build… builds… with lots of magic nooks and crannies to explore and gawp over. You’ll find me here the next few days me thinks.

POE5 – Creatif Designs

Stop the presses!!!! l have seen it all now!!! There are awesome hunt gifts to be found…..including a FARM!!!!! Yup, you read right…a working farm!

Creatif Designs…faints…have made for their hunt gift, Little House On The Prairie! This astonishing homestead has amazing sounds…birds chirping, fire crackling, working noises, bugs, animals…it is like OMG! There are chores to be done, like hanging the wash, sawing the wood for the fires and wood piles. The house comes from a rezzer that looks like a pile of hay ..lool

There is a working wind mill that stands at the base of the property besides a path of stones that lead to the front door of the homestead. On one side of the yard, there stands a pull wagon that has seen better days and have just been left there. Wild flowers and grass grows abundantly upon the property. On the right side of the house, you see a area that has a small camp fire and 2 logs. Good for those nights when you and the mrs. want to sit out and drink from the jug and reminiscence…loool. Both logs have great sit animations too! On the left side of the house, there is a beautiful old tree that has the most beautiful stream of light coming through it. (l added the Evergreens to hide modern sights). As you approach the house, there are the remnants of an old weathered fence long gone. lnside of the house you have a eating area…a hearth with a workng fire. All of the furniture can be removed and be replaced with your own. The windows shutters and door can be opened and closed. There is an upstairs open loft area that has a bed, a small table, and 2 sets of windows. You can access the loft by the ladder near the hearth. on the main floor there is another sleeping area that has a bed, a desk and chair, a chest at the foot of the bed that opens and closes , and a standing open cabinet and one front window. Each bed has a sleep animation. Hope you have a bed warmer of the 2 leg kind as nights on the prairie are mighty cold….laughing!
